Job Summary
The Division Chief of Logistics is responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics operations within the Risk Mitigation and Asset Protection program. This includes planning, directing, and coordinating the transportation, storage, distribution, and inventory management of goods and materials to support business functions. The Division Chief of Logistics ensures that logistical operations run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with relevant regulations. During periods of heightened fire activity, the Division Chief may assume the role of an Incident Liaison. Additionally, this position will provide oversight to multiple Battalion Chiefs, Crews, and Logistics support staff.

Duty Station: Division Chiefs deploy from home of record.
Travel: Up to 70% travel in the United States is involved with the position.
Compensation
This pay band reflects Chloeta’s good faith estimate of the range it expects to offer; Chloeta reserves the right to alter this range if business circumstances change.
$80,000-$85,000 annually

Duties/Responsibilities
Provide direct management in accordance with the Incident Command System (ICS) and company policies for Risk Mitigation Asset Protection personnel in wildland fire mitigation duties.
May take responsibility for the safe coordination of Chloeta resources with the Agency Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and/or Incident Management Team (IMT) and relay critical information to the Cat Command Center.
Establish and maintain working relationships with other agencies involved in wildland fire response.
Train, mentor, support, and develop logistics and field staff, ensuring a high level of performance and adherence to safety protocols.
Oversee transportation, warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution operations.
Manage and coordinate logistical support through appropriate means for incident personnel.
Monitor the application and use of fire management agreements and standards, to ensure effectiveness and conformity with established standards.
Assists in monitoring fire season severity predictions, fire behavior, and fire activity levels when on an incident and take appropriate actions to ensure safe, efficient and effective operations.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and meet organizational goals.
Maintain professionalism at all times and demonstrates respect towards all employees and individuals encountered during work hours and related activities.
Participate in routine performance reviews of assigned personnel and provide quality control for fire management program activities.
May participate in the development of management decisions and organizational plans.
Review timecards, leave requests and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
May assist in the recruiting, hiring and training processes of new personnel.
Coordinate with the Command Center regarding current fire behavior and fire conditions, release of resources, and other logistical considerations.
Conduct After Action Reviews and offers suggestions for improvement.

Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include accurate exchange of information.
Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports, logistic plans, training opportunities, After Action Reports and sections within Incident Action Plans to communicate goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics.
Will be subject to working nights, weekends and holidays as the mission dictates.
Must have proven experience applying principles of the Incident Command System (ICS) consistent with the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
Demonstrated history of understanding and implementing a culture of safety consistent with federal, state, and company guidance.
Expert ability using latest technology and software including computers, tablets, iPad, and the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools.
Leadership and management experience utilizing interpersonal skills, organizational skills, judgment and inspiration to foster a positive, productive and professional work environment.
Demonstrated ability and history of executing complex and challenging operational and logistical plans with expert problem solving that includes the ability to efficiently understand complex challenges, recognize gaps, navigate roadblocks, create solutions, and achieve outstanding outcomes for internal and external customers.
Education and Experience
Required: 10-12 years & High School Diploma OR 8-10 years & associate's degree OR 5-7 years & Bachelor's degree
Required: Must have verifiable NWCG certifications to the SRB or NFPA 1021 at Fire Officer II level with proper crosswalk courses. (Equivalent qualifications or certifications may be considered on case-by-case basis)
Required: Demonstrated progressively increasing responsibility operating within a complex emergency response
Preferred: Verifiable NWCG certifications to the DIVS or ICT3 level or NFPA 1021 certification at Fire Officer III level with proper crosswalk courses. (Equivalent qualifications or certifications may be considered on case-by-case basis)
Preferred: Demonstrated experience safely leading and managing a division size contingent of firefighting apparatus and personnel or other emergency response resources
Physical Requirements
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with DOT and company standards and pass insurance required record check and maintain a current national DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification, verified by the FMCSA throughout the duration of employment.
Must have a current/valid State Issued Driver License (DL).
Ability to pass a WCT (Work Capacity Test a.k.a “Pack Test”) at Moderate Level (Complete a 2-mile walk wearing a 25-pound pack in less than 30 minutes)
May be required to provide backup support to the Division Chief, Operations as needed.
Operate computer and other office machinery such as computer, printer, tablet, iPad.
May be required to attend industry conferences.
Ability to move equipment up to 60 pounds.
Must be 21 years old.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position while working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.
Must be able to move quickly and safely over uneven terrain.
May be asked to work nights, weekends and holidays within short notice.
