Job Description

  • Fabricate, modify, and repair tools, prototypes, and specialized components using manual and CNC machining techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute machining projects with precision.
  • Perform advanced machine operations, including milling, turning, boring, and threading.
  • Inspect workpieces for accuracy using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
  • Troubleshoot tooling issues and recommend modifications to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to refine tooling designs and develop prototypes.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the workspace meets safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in manual machining, including milling and lathe operations.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and technical problem-solving.
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools to meet tight tolerances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a written and physical test to demonstrate Tool Maker A-level expertise.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
