Job Description

  • Represent landlords and tenants in litigation and negotiations.
  • Handle disputes involving housing and real estate in NYC Housing Court and Supreme Court.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic case analysis.
  • Draft and review contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
  • Advise clients on real estate transactions, property rights, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and case updates.
  • Manage case intake and preparation for hearings and trials.
  • Stay current on landlord-tenant laws and real estate regulations.
  • Attend in-person hearings, consultations, and trials as required.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in landlord-tenant litigation and real estate law.
  • Strong knowledge of NYC housing laws and property regulations.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills for resolving disputes.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
