Position Description: As the Enterprise Solutions Capture Manager, you will work collaboratively with the business development team, marketing and proposal team, business leads, technical leads, and subject matter experts to identify strategic leads and plan, develop and coordinate capture and research opportunities. You will assist with the creation of strategic business development campaigns as well as leading, creating and maintaining capture and account records in CRM. Your work will directly impact our ability to grow our business and expand our offerings into existing and new markets.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience preforming Capture Management and have a working knowledge of CRM software. The qualified individual requires a sales presence, and strong verbal and written communication skills. We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible, and confident individual with a commitment to integrity.  The individual must obtain the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively. Experience selling technology services is strongly desired.  

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

 

This role works independently as a member of the Business Development Team and reports to the Executive Vice President, Enterprise Solutions. The candidate will perform the following essential functions: 

·       Develop an advanced understanding of Tidal Basin’s lines of service including the unique needs and business challenges of our prospective clients.

·       Develop new client and partner relationships.

·       Expands existing client and partner relationships.

·       Gain an in-depth awareness of Tidal Basin and its competitors and the strengths and weaknesses of their product offerings.

·       Develop and implement the overall capture strategy, by thinking strategically about the business and driving meetings with customers

·       Identifies and develops new business opportunities and relationships.

·       Lead strategic capture activities for Tidal Basin’s Portfolio.

·       Provide critical leadership on major capture efforts from the win strategy development through the post submission phases.

·       Lead strategic thinking on how we accelerate growth with partnerships.

·       Research leads/opportunities: incumbent, estimated revenue, client needs

·       Assist with developing strategic goals and annual BD/capture plans for function and practice areas.

·       Conducts webinars and presentations to raise the brand or product profile.

·       Manage research projects and support staff

·       Conduct research focused on strategic targets and areas of opportunity based on disaster events to identify potential leads, revenue, and teaming partners

·       Conduct industry research, interpret data, and make recommendations based on findings.

·       Research strategic prospects, prepare briefings, and communicate insights to relevant internal stakeholders

·       Maintain detailed knowledge of the firm's services and the competitive landscape

·       Stay current with news, trends and hot topics our clients care about

·       Analyze market trends to identify critical areas of focus by industry, geography, function, etc.

·       Maintain library of research and capture model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.

·       Utilize research tools (GovWin, agency sites and other databases) to conduct research to support internal business development. 

·       Manage the capture process, and business opportunity pipeline by helping to drive the implementation and build out of CRM

·       Enter key data and build campaigns into CRM and update info as it flows through the capture/lead pipeline.

·       Be the pioneer of the quality and consistency of the data within the CRM

·       Provide timely insights and analytical support to different internal business stakeholders (including sales, marketing, operations, client Success, and other departments) to support effective business decision-making

·       Plan and execute data auditing and cleanup projects within the CRM

·       Generate reports and input data to support organization initiatives; often reports you will recommend and create for the management team.

·       Recommend work improvements across departments to help them maintain timely, accurate and uniform documentation of all records in the CRM system

·       Data analysis utilizing analytical skills to find correlation between different types of data and provide insight into the effectiveness of sales and marketing campaign

·       This position requires extensive travel, up to 75%.  

 

Skills and Competencies:

·       Previous demonstrated, recent experience in leading Capture Management, market analysis and strategic business planning including identification, qualification, and capture leading to award and delivering major programs.

·       Creative “out of the box” strategic thinker who has had success winning new business with new customers.

·       Supporting multiple captures at the same time based on anticipated RFP release dates.

·       Deep knowledge and understanding of CRM databases, Zoho or similar preferred 

·       Experience with GovWin research tool is preferred

·       Detail oriented with exceptional writing, editing, and document formatting and organization skills.

·       Ability to assist in developing strategic approaches and concepts.

·       Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·       Ability to manage, organize, and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines.

·       Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to evaluate data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions.

·       Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross functionality.

·       Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative, and innovative in a dynamic, fast paced matrix team environment.

·       Proven ability to “surge” time and effort in times of need (i.e. when the company is helping its clients manage through a disaster, emergency, or other crisis).

·       Self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

Required Education and Experience:

·       Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.

·       Years of Experience: 5 or more years of capture management, sales, marketing, business and/or partnership development, information technology, business applications, or government affairs.
