Position Summary: Our company is seeking a temporary part time Payroll Assistant for approximately 20-25 hours per week to assist with our payroll operations. This is primarily a data entry position. This position requires strict attention to detail with a high degree of confidentiality. All confidential and sensitive data must be secured at all times.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Gathering and examining of timesheets to ensure validity
· Ensure that timesheets follow corporate policies
· Assist in the preparation of data as needed by team members
· May provide backup for other payroll team members during time off as needed
· Complete all required compliance training
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· Experience working in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and similar types of programs
· Applicable majors and/or coursework include: Accounting, Math, Finance, Business or similar
· Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar field helpful but not required
· Excellent attention to detail
· Time management and strong organizational skills
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Team player
