About the Role

You’ll oversee all construction and service processes related to fire alarm systems, ensure operational and safety compliance, and drive revenue and departmental efficiency. If you’re ready to lead from the front—while still keeping a pulse on the field and the numbers—this role offers the perfect blend of strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations for fire alarm installation and service

  • Monitor and report on key metrics: revenue, margin, productivity

  • Lead conversion strategies from install to service contracts

  • Coordinate operations with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Conduct job site safety audits and enforce safety practices

  • Develop budgets, oversee P&L for the department, and manage subcontractor relationships

  • Train, mentor, and build a high-performing team

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, design, and admin teams

  • Maintain adherence to SOPs, optimize inventory, manage job costing

  • Drive 20% annual departmental growth goals

  • Leverage technology to improve scheduling, reporting, and process automation

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in installation, service, or inspection

  • 5+ years in business or operational management

  • Hands-on understanding of systems, blueprints, and NFPA 72

  • Knowledge of P&L, budgeting, and labor productivity metrics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; job costing software a plus

  • NICET II or III preferred 

  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

  • Track record of improving operations, reducing turnover, and driving customer satisfaction
