Summary/Objective
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, and administrative processes. This role works closely with leadership and employees to maintain a positive workplace culture, ensure accurate and timely HR documentation, and support key people-related initiatives. A strong focus on organization, communication, and confidentiality is essential.
Recruiting & Onboarding
Support full-cycle recruiting including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer support
Maintain candidate pipelines and applicant tracking systems
Coordinate onboarding activities including new-hire paperwork, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, and compliance forms
Prepare and update employee records in the HRIS
Facilitate new hire orientation and support onboarding experience
Employee Support & Records Management
Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures
Maintain personnel files and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
Assist with benefit program coordination and employee inquiries
Support HR reporting and tracking metrics (hiring, training, turnover, etc.)
General HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
Assist with training coordination and compliance documentation
Support performance review cycles and employee relations activities
Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency
Other Duties
Handle confidential information with discretion
Provide administrative support as needed
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve the employee experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in HR or related field preferred
3+ years of HR experience (Generalist, Coordinator, or Recruiter background welcome)
Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
Self-starter with flexibility and a positive attitude
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally
Ability to type and file documents
