Summary/Objective
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, and administrative processes. This role works closely with leadership and employees to maintain a positive workplace culture, ensure accurate and timely HR documentation, and support key people-related initiatives. A strong focus on organization, communication, and confidentiality is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Support full-cycle recruiting including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer support

  • Maintain candidate pipelines and applicant tracking systems

  • Coordinate onboarding activities including new-hire paperwork, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, and compliance forms

  • Prepare and update employee records in the HRIS

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and support onboarding experience

Employee Support & Records Management

  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures

  • Maintain personnel files and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance

  • Assist with benefit program coordination and employee inquiries

  • Support HR reporting and tracking metrics (hiring, training, turnover, etc.)

General HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies

  • Assist with training coordination and compliance documentation

  • Support performance review cycles and employee relations activities

  • Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency

Other Duties

  • Handle confidential information with discretion

  • Provide administrative support as needed

  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve the employee experience

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in HR or related field preferred

  • 3+ years of HR experience (Generalist, Coordinator, or Recruiter background welcome)

  • Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality

  • Self-starter with flexibility and a positive attitude

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally

  • Ability to type and file documents
