An international manufacturer is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their supply chain team. This role will provide comprehensive sourcing and procurement support while collaborating with global team members and internal departments. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets are achieved 

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and support strategic sourcing initiatives 

  • Handle import/export procurement and customs requirements 

  • Support new product introductions and engineering change tracking 

  • Set up and maintain item master data in SAP, create purchase orders, and align with Accounts Payable to ensure timely supplier payments 

  • Identify and implement cost reduction projects to support supply chain and business goals 

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, service, sales, and quality teams to ensure sourcing excellence 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience 

  • 5 years of experience in procurement (manufacturing background preferred) 

  • International manufacturing experience in procurement and customs is a plus 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) 

  • Strong negotiation, research, and analytical skills 

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
