We are working with a Tier 1 supplier of plastic components to the automotive industry to find a MP&L Manager who will oversee plastic injection molding operations for their plant in upstate, SC.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supply chain management or Material Planning and Logistics experience, particularly within automotive manufacturing along with strong SAP skills.

Responsibilities:

·       Develop and implement supply chain strategies specific to the automotive industry.

·       Manage supplier, manufacturer, and logistics partnerships to ensure timely deliveries.

·       Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and resolve issues.

·       Track and assess supply chain metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

·       Forecast demand and manage inventory to align production schedules with optimal stock levels.

·       Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards.

·       Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

·       Prepare and present performance and progress reports to senior management.

Requirements:

·       5+ years of experience in supply chain or MP&L management or (automotive products)

·       Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

·       In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization methods.

·       Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a strong track record of building effective relationships.

·       Skilled in SAP, IQMS, and other supply chain software, with solid analytical abilities.

·       Understanding of industry regulations and quality standards (such as ISO/TS, IATF 16949).

·       Familiarity with project management methodologies.

·       Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and techniques.

·       Minimal travel < 10%.
