Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the insurance sector with a legacy of innovation and excellence, is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join their Global Reinsurance Actuarial team. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of pricing frameworks, data architecture, and reinsurance pricing strategies, contributing to the success of their renowned operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement centralized applications to streamline treaty pricing processes.
  • Collaborate with actuarial and underwriting teams to enhance pricing model functionality and performance.
  • Streamline diagnostic tools and model input systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Automate pricing and portfolio-level reporting, minimizing manual effort and enhancing accuracy.
  • Design and optimize data architectures for efficient analysis of submissions and pricing data.
  • Ensure model code adheres to industry best practices, is well-documented, and easily maintainable.
  • Provide support for treaty pricing, profitability analyses, and periodic parameter updates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align solutions with the overall application landscape of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in technical, analytical, and data management skills.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as VBA and R.
  • 2+ years of experience in reinsurance, complex pricing, modeling, or actuarial functions.
  • Recent ACAS designation preferred; candidates with relevant experience who are not pursuing exams will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Creative, self-motivated, and focused on continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.

Proficiency in VBA and R programming is essential, alongside experience in reinsurance, commercial lines, or actuarial modeling.
