Position Title: Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Schedule: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (12-hour shifts)Employment Type: Full-TimeSign-On Bonus: $10,000 (2-year commitment required)

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join a 157 bed hospital. The department has between 35 to 40 FTE's. Under the guidance of the Respiratory Care Medical Director and Respiratory Supervisor, you will provide high-quality respiratory care services in compliance with physician orders and departmental policies.

This role includes a rotating weekend requirement and is ideal for both experienced professionals and recent graduates. Certifications in CRT or RRT are accepted, with compensation varying by certification level.

Shift Details

  • Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Night Shift)
  • Shift Differentials:
  • $2.00 for evening shifts.
  • $3.00 for night shifts.
  • $2.00 for weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services as directed by physicians.
  • Administer treatments and operate advanced respiratory care equipment.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.

QualificationsRequired

  • Current Texas Respiratory Therapist Licensure (CRT or RRT).
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS and PALS Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Preferred

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in various aspects of respiratory care.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for a 2-year commitment.

  • $2.00 for weekend shifts.
  • Competitive salary based on experience and certification (CRT vs. RRT).
