Director - Medical/Surgical (RN)

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare excellence, is seeking a Director of Medical/Surgical Services to lead and enhance patient care in a high-performing hospital environment. This pivotal role will oversee both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring seamless operations, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to superior patient outcomes. The selected candidate will drive strategic initiatives, optimize workflow efficiency, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to elevate the standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Medical/Surgical Care Unit, ensuring exceptional patient care and staff performance.
• Implement and uphold hospital-wide standards, state and federal compliance regulations, and accreditation guidelines.
• Develop and execute quality improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence in patient-centered care.
• Provide leadership in staff recruitment, development, and retention, creating a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Establish and maintain effective communication between nursing staff, physicians, administration, and support teams to ensure optimal care coordination.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and financial planning to align with hospital objectives.
• Serve as a clinical resource while maintaining knowledge of current best practices and advancements in Medical/Surgical care.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Licensure: Current RN license (NC or Multistate).
• Experience: Proven progressive leadership experience within a hospital or acute care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong background in leadership, team building, strategic planning, communication, and problem-solving.
