Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in environmental services, is seeking a Senior Fleet Manager to oversee critical transfer station operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple locations.

The Senior Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, compliance, and safety standards for two transfer station locations. This role will manage 70 assets and a team of 13 employees, ensuring seamless workflow, efficiency, and adherence to industry regulations.
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of transfer station operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and DOT standards.
Oversee employee scheduling, workflow management, and task assignments.
Lead safety meetings and ensure compliance with workplace and transportation regulations.
Manage revenue tracking, financial reconciliation, billing processes, and payroll administration.
Monitor supply inventory and ensure timely procurement.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to senior leadership.
Provide leadership in employee coaching, training, performance management, and professional development.
Assist in hiring, compensation discussions, and promotions.
Enforce fleet maintenance schedules to maximize vehicle performance and longevity.
Ensure compliance with environmental and industry-specific policies.
This position provides direct oversight to a team of 13 full-time employees, which includes:
Supervisors
Drivers
Mechanics
Equipment Operators
Sorters & Laborers
Facility Attendants
High School Diploma or GED (accredited) required.
4+ years of experience in relevant work.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, fleet management, and vehicle maintenance best practices.
Experience operating heavy equipment in a transfer station or similar environment.
Background in workforce management, scheduling, and team leadership.
Ability to analyze financial statements, budgets, and operational reports.
No specific certifications required; relevant experience is prioritized.
Primary work setting is a transfer station environment.
Some occasional travel may be required between locations.
