\nWe are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager of Sterile Processing to provide strategic and operational oversight for the Sterile Processing Departments across two flagship medical centers in the vibrant South Bay area of Los Angeles County. \nExecutive Partnership: This role involves working directly with the Executive Director of Perioperative Services to define and execute the strategic plan for all reprocessing services. You will be a key voice in surgical planning and capital equipment decisions.

\nAs the Senior Manager, you will be the definitive authority for all sterile processing operations, quality, and compliance across both our Torrance and San Pedro campuses.
\nMulti-Site Oversight: Direct, unify, and standardize all SPD operations across both medical centers, ensuring seamless service and high-quality instrument turnover to support busy Operating Rooms, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Interventional Suites.
\nStrategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute a long-term strategic plan for Sterile Processing, focusing on technology adoption, process automation, and facility modernization.
\nBudget & Fiscal Management: Take full ownership of the departmental operating and capital budgets. Apply your analytical skills to manage expenses, optimize resource allocation, and drive cost-saving efficiencies while maintaining premium quality.
\nQuality & Compliance: Serve as the subject matter expert and compliance officer, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory standards (AAMI, AORN, TJC, CMS, etc.) and leading continuous performance improvement initiatives.
\nCollaboration: Build strong, trust-based relationships with physicians, surgeons, OR nurses, and materials management to enhance communication, resolve issues proactively, and foster a collaborative Perioperative environment.
\nThis position requires a dynamic leader with a strong blend of clinical expertise, financial acumen, and proven multi-site management experience.
\nEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field.
\nExperience:
\nMinimum 7 years of progressive experience working directly in the field of Sterile Processing.
\nMinimum 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience leading a hospital Sterile Processing Department.
\nMinimum 5 years of experience with budget creation, management, and analysis.
\nCertification (one required upon hire):
\nNational Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - HSPA
\nNational Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - CBSPD
\nNational Certified Instrument Specialist (NCIS) - HSPA
\nNational Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (CSIS) - CBSPD
\nExperience managing SPD operations across multiple hospital campuses or equivalent large-scale complexity (e.g., Level I Trauma Center, large academic medical center).
\nDemonstrated success in leading departments through major regulatory surveys (TJC, DNV) and achieving sustained low infection rates.
\nA proven track record in implementing advanced tracking and inventory management systems (e.g., SPM, Censitrac).
