The Assistant Project Manager/Estimator focus will be to review plans and prepare bid information for commercial landscape and irrigation projects.

Responsibilities include

  • Construction administration includes: preparing contracts & proposals, purchase orders, equipment rentals, scheduling, subcontractor certified payroll and estimating changes
  • Coordinate project start-up with project managers
  • Proactively provide information on key performance indicators to project managers
  • Document Control for projects from inception to completion Perform billing in QuickBooks
  • Manage subcontractor compliance
  • Responsible for handling mark outs and reviewing close out documents
  • Maintaining procedures for bidding project management
  • Prepare and review bidding documents and change orders
  • Oversee and coordinate punch list activities
  • Maintain client relations
  • Assists in generating budget research for estimating time, costs, special orders, etc.
  • Maintain contact with bidding GC’s and architects on clarification of scope on projects in estimating
  • Produce new project folders with appropriate paperwork and signed documents
  • Meet with Project Manager, Production Manager, and Estimating to discuss kick-off project files
  • Gathering, calculating, and compiling take off data for use in bid proposal estimates

 

Successful candidates must meet the following criteria for this exciting opportunity:

  • Ability to read/follow plans/drawings is required
  • Experience working in the landscaping industry on estimating and managing landscape and irrigation preferred
  • Strong communication & organizational skills
  • Extremely detail oriented & problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage high intensity environment and multi-tasking
  • Proficient in MS Office required
  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license is mandatory
  • Knowledge with hardscape, plant material, night lighting, grades, elevation and drainage is required
