We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team in a hybrid work environment. This role involves comprehensive management of complex contracts from initiation to completion, with a focus on Department of Defense (DoD), National Security, and other prime contractor agreements. As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will play a critical role in guiding both internal and external stakeholders towards achieving strategic objectives while ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle for sophisticated contracts, ensuring proactive and compliant management across all phases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer communications, managing both tactical and strategic contract relationships.
  • Develop innovative solutions for complex challenges, collaborating across various stakeholder and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), technical and cooperative agreements, aligning them with our strategic plans.
  • Lead the contracting process during business acquisition efforts and mentor junior colleagues to enhance team capabilities.
  • Formulate and execute negotiation strategies, ensuring favorable outcomes while managing change and resolving disputes.
  • Lead compliance efforts related to the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act, including data sweeps, disclosures, and certifications.
  • Conduct contract closeout activities and maintain official contract records.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting processes, including various contract types and scopes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop business cases and solve systemic issues through data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration and mentoring.
  • Ability to work independently with guidance, understanding corporate governance and delegated authority requirements.
  • Familiarity with Intellectual Property considerations and corporate IP strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and adaptability to various business systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is preferred and may substitute for 2 years of experience.
  • A minimum of 7-15 years of relevant experience in the Government Contracting industry, with additional experience in national security or aerospace and defense preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CFCM or CPCM are preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • A current Secret security clearance is required.
