Your Role
As a Tax Senior Manager, you will:
- Conduct thorough research on tax issues and filing requirements to ensure compliance.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of tax returns, including forms 1065 and 1120.
- Analyze complex tax issues using internal revenue codes, treasury regulations, and other authoritative guidance.
- Manage client engagements from planning to final deliverables.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to broaden the scope of current engagements.
- Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to team members.
- Foster the development of subordinates' technical and industry skills.
- Exhibit initiative, creativity, and independent thinking in problem-solving.
Your Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, with a preference for a Master’s in Accounting or Taxation.
- Professional credentials such as CPA, JD, or EA are preferred.
- At least 6 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
- A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically with Hedge Funds and/or Private Equity.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills.
- Strong tax research and writing capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with tax compliance and research software such as GoSystems, CCH Axcess, CCH, and RIA.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
