We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a focus on civil engineering to lead and manage public works projects from our Phoenix office. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of infrastructure projects, fostering client relationships, and nurturing a talented team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage comprehensive aspects of public works projects, ensuring quality and sustainability.
  • Mentor and supervise a team of engineering designers and project managers, supporting their professional growth.
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with internal and external partners.
  • Develop project schedules and budgets, including preparing contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work.
  • Lead business development initiatives to strengthen and expand client relationships with public agencies.
  • Implement quality assurance and control procedures to maintain the highest standards of project delivery.
  • Make independent decisions and solve problems effectively in a leadership capacity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in public works projects.
  • Arizona Professional Civil Engineer registration in good standing.
  • Proven track record in business development, client management, and public agency interactions.
  • Experience in managing and developing a high-performing team.
  • Familiarity with the Phoenix area and preferably an existing local network or business connections.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
  • Strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Phoenix, AZ, with potential for limited hybrid work flexibility after 6–12 months, contingent on performance. Candidates must reside in the Phoenix area.
