Of Counsel – LitigationLocation: San Diego, CA (also open to Torrance or Downtown Los Angeles)

Our client, a distinguished AmLaw 65 firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join their litigation team in San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator with a background in complex civil and commercial litigation to join a dynamic and growing practice.

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Bar Admission in California (in good standing).
  • At least 8 years of substantive experience in complex litigation, class actions, and products liability, preferably in a mid-size or large law firm.
  • Strong background in products liability defense, including familiarity with the Song-Beverly Act, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, with strong communication abilities and a proven ability to handle case management from inception to trial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in complex litigation, products liability defense, and class action matters.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
  • Prepare for, take, and defend depositions, manage document production, and argue motions.
  • Collaborate with a team of trial lawyers who have experience trying jury trials to verdict in state and federal courts across California.
  • Develop litigation strategies and manage cases throughout their lifecycle, including trial preparation and representation.

Why Join?  Pursuant to the salary transparency provisions of the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act, the pay range for this role in California, with final offer amount depending on experience is $175,000 - $225,000.
