The Accounting Manager will supervise the accounting staff, manage day to day operations, oversee the month end close process and evaluate the teams performance. The ideal candidate will be hands on and always look for ways to improve the business. Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and external audits

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliation, cash management reports, and other GL accounting tasks
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Oversee quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual organization financial audit
• Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
• Manage a team of 3 people
• Collaborate with key Finance partners on development of processes, policies, systems, controls, compliance, fixed assets, revenue, inventory, close, etc. 
• Perform ad hoc accounting based projects as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
• 5+ years of recent relevant accounting experience
• CPA a plus 
• Strong accounting, quantitative and analytical skills, and ability to accurately apply key U.S. GAAP to different business situations
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Outstanding oral communication, analytical and written skills
• Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
• Strong familiarity with Month-end Journal Entries and Adjusting Journal Entries
• Manufacturing industry experience related to Packaging, Plastics, Rubber.
