We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support a short-term consulting project. This contract role involves 45 total hours of work, with the flexibility to complete tasks on your own schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong consulting experience, deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize AWS cloud solutions based on project requirements.
• Assess and enhance existing cloud architecture for scalability, security, and performance.
• Provide guidance on AWS best practices, automation, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Document solutions, configurations, and recommendations for future reference.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in a professional setting.
• Proven consulting experience, with the ability to engage clients and deliver tailored solutions.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and others.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote, self-managed environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Prior experience optimizing cloud costs and improving system performance.
