Our client is launching a SharePoint initiative within their M365 tenant, starting with a pilot for the IT department (up to 50 users). The project involves building an IT SharePoint site that includes document libraries migrated from on-prem file shares, up to 5 workflows, and up to 2 lists/forms. The successful candidate will manage workshops, configuration, migration, testing, and knowledge transfer to ensure a seamless SharePoint deployment that meets the client’s business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workshops & Discovery:

    • SharePoint Workshop: Lead a 2-hour session to establish a baseline understanding of SharePoint capabilities for the organization.
    • Business Use Workshop: Facilitate a 2-hour workshop to define business rules and usage scenarios for the new IT site.
  • Site & Group Configuration:

    • Configure up to 8 SharePoint Security Groups to support secure access.
    • Create and configure the main landing page for the IT SharePoint site, including the setup of up to two sub sites and up to two lists/forms.
  • Document Management:

    • Set up and configure up to 4 document libraries to house migrated files and ongoing documents.
  • Data Migration:

    • Oversee the migration of up to 1.25 TB of data from on-prem file shares to SharePoint, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
  • Workflow Development:

    • Build up to 2 initial workflows and collaborate with the client to develop an additional 3 workflows, reaching a total of up to 5 workflows to streamline business processes.
  • Testing & Review:

    • Conduct thorough testing and review of all components to ensure a successful pilot deployment.
  • Knowledge Transfer:

    • Provide up to 2 hours of knowledge transfer sessions to equip the IT team with the skills necessary to manage and optimize their new SharePoint environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing SharePoint within an M365 environment.
  • Strong expertise in configuring SharePoint sites, security groups, document libraries, workflows, and data migrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workshops and facilitate effective knowledge transfer.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with best practices in data migration, user adoption, and SharePoint governance.
