We are seeking a motivated Satellite Operations Center Tier 2 Technician to join our team supporting a global satellite communications mission. This role provides advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 support across worldwide SATCOM and IP networks, ensuring secure, high-performance connectivity for critical operations.
The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to mission success.
Monitor and manage global SATCOM networks, including iDirect hub technologies and TDMA/IP networks
Perform quality control on iDirect options files, MSL entries, and Remedy tickets
Provide Tier 2/3 operational support and serve as a mentor for Tier 1 technicians
Troubleshoot and resolve complex SATCOM, RF, and networking issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement and mission success
6+ years of experience with complex SATCOM systems (or equivalent combination of education/training)
Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
Hands-on experience with iDirect hub solutions, TCP/IP networking, and SATCOM/RF systems
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff
