Floor Inspector

Full Time

Indianapolis, IN

Compensation DOE: Up to $24/hr.

As a Floor Inspector, you will perform in-process and final inspections of machined aerospace components on the production floor. You'll work closely with machinists and quality teams to detect defects early, support First Article Inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment.

Floor Inspector Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs

  • Verify part compliance with drawings, specifications, and inspection plans

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and assist with AS9102 documentation

  • Identify and report nonconforming parts and collaborate on corrective actions

  • Maintain inspection records and traceability documentation

  • Monitor processes for quality and adherence to work instructions

  • Support audits, internal quality initiatives, and tool calibration processes

Floor Inspector Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 2–4 years of inspection experience in aerospace or precision machining

  • Proficient in GD&T and reading engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5)

  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools and CMM systems

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
