SVP, Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Compensation:  $200,000+

Type: Full-time

Location: Chicago, IL or Remote with monthly travel

Job Overview

The SVP of Identity and Access Management (IAM) is responsible for setting the vision, managing execution of a multi-year roadmap to enhance the IAM function and capabilities, and coaching talent across IAM for the enterprise. This high visibility position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and will inherit a 20+ person team comprised of Provisioning, SailPoint, Ping, IAM, CIAM, Engineering, Architecture, and Project Management teams.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining alignment of IAM vision with Information Security objectives and business requirements
  • Leading the design and development of scalable IAM platform solutions that meet business requirements, policies, regulatory requirements, and IS standards
  • Leading engineers in the design of solutions that integrate with the current IAM platform including provisioning, de-provisioning and integration of applications for authentication
  • Establishing and maintaining IAM Governance program to ensure appropriate visibility, communication, and governance across key business partners and stakeholders
  • Establishing a continual service improvement plan and improve overall IAM service
  • Representing Information Security in cross-functional meetings and projects
  • Managing a team of 20 (combination of employees, contractors, and managed service providers)
  • Effectively contributing to the overall strategy and management of the IAM Information Security function

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of Information Technology Security experience in a publicly traded Financial Services organization (Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, etc.) 
  • Seven+ years of management experience
  • A minimum five years’ experience in developing enterprise IAM solutions, entitlement management including provisioning/onboarding lifecycle requirements and solutions
  • In depth knowledge of directory services, authentication/authorization, access provisioning, role-based access control, privileged access, single sign on.
  • Broad experience working with IAM industry tools and products
  • Strong track-record of effectively managing relationships across business lines, integrating with other IT and business functions, developing strategies, and leading executive-level communications.
  • Experience managing a large IAM team within a publicly traded financial services organization 
  • Strong Understanding of internal IAM, CIAM/Okta, SailPoint, Ping, etc.
  • Experience developing IAM strategy roadmap to enhance the IAM function 
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Strong process and project management skills including the ability to manage several large initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, able to build relationships
