Field Service Supervisor - Commercial HVAC
 
This position is responsible for leading and training procedures on installing, troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and customer service. Responsibilities:
  • Receive oral and/or written work requests and set priorities for self and for service technicians through daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling
  • Supervise technicians while in field to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of jobs
  • Regular site visits. Work with PM's on estimating service hours and material needs for new and current projects. Ensure all material is on site or has been ordered to complete installation, startup and/or service work
  • Improve overall performance for company while eliminating call backs
  • Weekly meetings with management to discuss company strategies
  • Provide technical assistance when needed
  • Recommendations related to hiring, discipline, promoting or discharging of employees
  • Weekly review and correction of technicians time cards for payroll
  • Responsible for establishing ongoing and general training programs for technicians
  • Daily check in with each technician and documented on Procore
  • GSD sheet kept up-to-date
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC theory
  • At least 3 years of industry experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment
  • Working knowledge of electricity
  • Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and prescribe repair procedures
  • Ability to lead, train and supervise others
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, assign, coordinate and direct the work of HVAC technicians
  • Understand and work from blueprints, schematics, sketches and/or pencil drawings
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Computer and software capabilities - Google Suites, calendar, Excel 
  • Ability to drive a cargo van with a trailer
  • Ability to work in a team environment, be self motivated and disciplined
  • Ability to be flexible and perform special assignments as required to meet our ongoing growth needs
Benefits:
  • No 24/7, no on call, commercial only, no residential, hotel or multi-family
  • Compensation range $85-95k/yr + bonuses
