Seeking a Design Engineer with Industrial refrigeration (CO2, Ammonia, etc.), Large Hydronic Piping Systems Design, Mechanical Systems & Component knowledge of Refrigeration, and experience with Estimating, Budgeting, Proposals, Presentations, etc. to join our client's industrial design-build team in the Cincinnati, OH or Fort Wayne, IN office areas. Design Engineer Must Have Business Experience:
    1. Connect with vendors and suppliers as necessary to keep abreast of industry developments and innovation in equipment and process
    2. Meet with Customers to understand and document infrastructure and  critical process needs and constraints
    3. Develop the preliminary design solution to satisfy customer requirements
    4. Develop high level budgets associated with design options
    5. Incorporate Customer needs / feedback into detailed solution design
    6. Develop detailed cost estimates, including equipment, material, labor, and sub-contractors
    7. Use appropriate estimating tools to complete hard quotes, including alternate value-added options if appropriate
    8. Incorporate value engineering practices as needed to modify scope and costs to meet customer needs
    9. Teach and mentor less experienced employees for growth and implementation of best practices
    10. Enhance project engineering and estimating tools, policies and procedures
    11. Adopt and further develop our core values and teamwork centered culture
 
Design Engineer Must Have Profile:
    • 10 years of excellent performance in a construction related role, at least five at a foreman level – OR – Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field or construction management, eligible to take the Mechanical Professional Engineering exam
    • Ability to design Industrial Refrigeration systems to meet customer requirements
    • Ability to estimate, quote, and sell new business for a profit
    • Technical knowledge of Refrigeration/ Mechanical / HVAC system components
    • Project management disciplines and techniques (project plan, Gantt, CPM)
    • Capabilities of industry equipment component design
    • Follow OSHA / EPA requirements
    • Strong analytical skills, systematic and structured way of working
    • Strong team and communication skills
    • Initiative, sense of responsibility, and flexibility
Design Engineer Benefits:
    • Competitive salary: $90,000 - $130,000
