Vice President of Engineering

As the Vice President of Engineering, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our product development. You will provide technical leadership, develop and implement our engineering strategy, and oversee the entire engineering department. Your expertise will ensure the successful design and implementation of our cutting-edge HVAC and chiller solutions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's engineering strategy, aligning it with overarching business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a talented team of engineers, including project managers, designers, and technical staff.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of engineering projects, from initial conceptualization through final design and installation.
  • Develop and manage the engineering department's budget, encompassing personnel costs, capital equipment, and software.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of HVAC systems, encompassing design, installation, and maintenance best practices.
  • Identify, evaluate, and champion new technologies to drive product innovation and enhance efficiency, ensuring our continued industry leadership.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
  • Ensure all engineering projects adhere to relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.
  • Provide regular and insightful reports on the engineering department's performance to the CEO, board, and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience within an engineering environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and build relationships at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Highly self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a track record of achieving positive outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
