About the Role

The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and programs. This role involves conducting audits, training employees, and fostering a culture of safety awareness. The ideal candidate will be proactive in risk management and have strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures.

• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.

• Lead and coordinate safety training programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards.

• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents; document findings and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.

• Assist in emergency response planning, including drills and first aid preparedness.

• Serve as a point of contact for employee safety concerns.

• Support workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs.

• Stay current on industry regulations and best practices to continuously improve safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred.

• 5+ years in a safety-related role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• CPR, First Aid, or other safety certifications are a plus.

• Comfortable working on the production floor and interacting directly with employees.

Physical Requirements: May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting safety equipment or materials.
