We are seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to lead the daily operations and clinical team within a hospital-based Operating Room department. This full-time leadership role oversees staffing, workflow, quality of care, and overall unit performance.

The Nurse Manager carries 24/7 accountability for the unit and ensures adherence to clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all clinical and administrative functions of the Operating Room
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
  • Support staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and talent development for OR nursing teams
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgical leadership, and interdisciplinary departments
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Foster a culture of communication, safety, excellence, and professional growth
  • Oversee operational efficiency, resource utilization, and patient throughput

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Current BLS certification from an approved national provider
  • Specialty-specific certifications required within designated timeframes (varies by unit)
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical RN experience in an acute care hospital
  • Minimum 5 years of direct Operating Room nursing experience
  • At least 3 years of nursing leadership experience (Charge RN, Supervisor, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Manager)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field
