Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing sector, is looking to add a Quality Assurance Coordinator to their Cambridge facility.


This is a key role supporting the Quality team by driving compliance, food safety, and continuous improvement across operations. The position offers stability, growth, and the chance to work with recognized standards like BRCGS.

 

Quality Assurance Coordinator Details

·       Permanent, full-time - Day shift: 10:00am – 6:30pm
·       Salary range: $55,000 – $60,000, *depending on experience
·       2 weeks vacation

Quality Assurance Coordinator Responsibilities

·       Support the Director of QA in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS)
·       Assist in internal/external audits and certification processes
·       Conduct microbiological, chemical, and allergen testing on finished products, packaging, and surfaces
·       Help manage GMP programs and deliver food safety training
·       Maintain and update HACCP documentation and other quality records
·       Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and monitor effectiveness
·       Ensure proper calibration and verification of measuring equipment (scales, thermometers, etc.)
·       Participate in product recall activities, sanitation inspections, and regulatory compliance initiatives
·       Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across quality and food safety programs

 

Quality Assurance Coordinator Qualifications

·       Post-secondary education in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field
·       2+ years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing or a regulated industry
·       Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and regulatory requirements (CFIA, FDA, etc.)
·       Familiarity with BRCGS certification programs is an asset
·       Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
·       Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
·       Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
