KIT Recruitment continues to engage in a positive, fulfilling relationship with this well-known Food Manufacturer in the London, Ontario area and we are actively looking for Setup Operator, Relief. This will be a hybrid role where the selected candidate will operate as a production worker 40% of the time and a Setup Operator the other 60% of the time. 

Setup Operator, Relief Details:

  • 2 Shifts Available one requires a flexible work schedule, Monday-Saturday (4 days a week) 11:30pm-10am, the other is straight shifts Monday-Thursday 8pm-6:30am
    • Schedule will always be provided two weeks in advance. 
  • Production Associate, $20.56/hr 70 shifts (probationary period) $22.85 after probation.
  • Setup Operator: $24.83/hr 70 shifts (probationary period) $27.59/hr after probation
    • Additional +$0.75 shift premium for any hours worked between 7pm-5am.
  • Benefits after Probationary Period
  • 3% RRSP contribution by employer after probationary period
  • 2 Weeks Holidays

Setup Operator, Relief Job Duties:

  • Equipment set up and troubleshooting adjustments, to keep products within standard and to keep all the lines running at or above required performance.
  • Maintaining the required hygiene standards of the equipment and the facility, consistent with GMP standards and Master Sanitation Schedules.
  • Waste removal from production areas as needed
  • Maintaining all BRC audit paperwork and other required documentation as may be required.
  • Liaising with appropriate staff throughout the shift to ensure continuous process and quality standards.
  • Start and operate all equipment within the department assigned, however, Critical Equipment such as the VRT and Abrigo robotic cutters will be handled by the Maintenance department.
  • Product changeovers on all equipment not classified as CRITICAL by operations.
  • Work efficiently and be sure that changeovers are smooth with minimal downtime and all time accounted for

Setup Operator, Relief Requirements:

  • 2 years experience working in a FOOD Manufacturing facility as a setup operator preferred
  • Scheduling flexibility in availability
  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Ability to follow diagrams of equipment setups on the line
  • Strong English communication
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and follow instructions
