Join a dynamic team in the Transportation industry as a Quality Assurance Coordinator Our client is on the lookout for a talented professional to enhance their operations in Cambridge, ON.The Quality Assurance Coordinator ensures raw materials, in-process items, and finished products meet quality and safety standards, including BRCGS requirements. This role is key in maintaining product quality, identifying non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

 

Quality Assurance Coordinator Details

  • Monday thru Friday (Minimum 30 hours per week, between 8 AM and 5 PM)
  • Competitive pay at $23 per hour

Quality Assurance Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Inspect food product deliveries and during production to ensure quality standards and BRCGS compliance.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections, including physical, visual, and functional tests to maintain product integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP) and document any deviations.
  • Maintain precise records of inspections, tests, and findings.
  • Prepare reports with corrective action recommendations for non-conformances.
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation for audits, including product specifications.
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Assist in BRCGS certification audits and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Monitor adherence to SOPs and GMPs to meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities for quality process improvement and implement new control measures.
  • Provide feedback to suppliers and internal teams to foster continuous improvement in quality practices.

Quality Assurance Coordinator Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in quality management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of quality control or inspection experience, ideally in warehousing or food distribution.
  • Familiarity with BRCGS standards and regulatory compliance is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient with quality inspection tools, measurement equipment, and software.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and general quality assurance principles.
  • BRCGS certification or training preferred.
  • ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or other quality-related certifications preferred.
