Commercial E&S Production UW - Hybrid

This top national Brokerage has a new opportunity for a Commercial, E&S, Multi-line Underwriter, for their Houston office. 

Business is comprised of a variety of commercial, small to mid-sized Property and GL classes.

The assigned territory is the state of Texas.

Responsibilities include:

·       Evaluate, rate, quote and bind risks to determine acceptability and compliance per company guidelines

·       Responsibility for marketing, sales and production of your own book of new and renewal business for your assigned territory

·       Manage and maintain Agency relationships, including regular agency visits

·       Assist with developing your marketing strategies for increasing production

·       Assist as needed with the training and mentoring of UW associates and assistants

Qualified candidates must have:

·       A minimum of five years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience

·       A minimum of 3 years of excess and surplus lines underwriting experience

·       Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing

·       Insurance License, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience  

·       Those from MGAs or Brokerages are preferred

·       A clean driving record and the ability to travel
