Job Description

  • Manage tax engagements, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Oversee tax provision calculations under ASC 740.
  • Conduct quarterly and year-end tax planning and estimates.
  • Maintain and build strong client relationships.
  • Lead engagement planning, organization, and delegation to maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor engagement economics, including billing, collections, and profitability.
  • Mentor and train junior staff to support their professional development.
  • Contribute to the growth and expansion of the firm’s tax practice.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on corporate and partnership taxation.
  • Recent tax preparation experience.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions under ASC 740.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience at a Big 4, national, or regional accounting firm.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and research software (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, CCH, RIA, BNA).
  • Advanced degree in accounting, tax, or law.
  • Proven success in expanding tax services within a firm.
