Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to identify a strategic and hands-on Vice President of FP&A for a rapidly growing, private equity–backed company in the industrial services sector.

This newly created position will serve as a key finance leader driving forecasting, budgeting, analytics, and business partnership across a highly acquisitive and expanding platform. The VP will collaborate closely with the CFO, executive team, and operating leaders to provide data-driven insights, enhance financial visibility, and support strategic decision-making as the company continues to scale.

The Role

  • Lead the company’s FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and strategic financial analysis.

  • Partner with leadership to evaluate new investments, acquisitions, and integration initiatives.

  • Drive financial modeling, board reporting, and operational dashboards that enhance visibility and accountability.

  • Develop a high-performing team and implement tools and processes that enable efficient, data-driven decision making.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 10–15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership within a PE-backed or acquisitive middle-market environment.

  • Proven success building FP&A capabilities in a multi-entity or service-driven business.

  • Strong modeling, analytics, and communication skills; comfortable working directly with executive leadership and investors.

  • Experience implementing new systems or tools to improve financial reporting and forecasting.
