The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end accounting operations of the management company and partner closely with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day corporate accounting functions including journal entries, payroll, payment processing, and month-end close.

  • Oversee expense allocations between the firm’s funds and management company.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow, and balance sheets in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.

  • Collaborate across fund accounting, operations, and investment teams to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Support external audits and maintain regulatory compliance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including time in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience in a hedge fund, private equity, or asset management setting.

  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of accounting systems.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a proactive team player with strong communication skills.
