Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a $2Bn PE backed company to hire a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to join their team. This pivotal role will lead the FP&A functions with a focus on finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and treasury operations. As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will drive financial strategy, enhance the M&A initiatives, and oversee treasury functions to ensure robust financial health and operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company's mission and growth objectives. Lead long-term financial planning and annual budgeting processes.
  • M&A Support: Conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and modeling to support strategic decisions.
  • Treasury Management: Manage treasury functions including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and investment strategies. Ensure efficient capital structure and optimize working capital.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial performance and market conditions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices in financial processes and systems. Enhance financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting methodologies to support strategic goals.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Oversee financial audits and support compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years of progressive experience in corporate finance or FP&A, with a strong background in M&A and treasury operations.
  • Prior experience in investment banking or management consulting is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, general accounting principles, financial statements, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required; experience with Hyperion or similar financial management systems preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to executive leadership.
