Position Overview:Our client is seeking a highly technical Senior Manager who will act as a subject matter expert with extensive expertise in the smaller reporting company arena. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex accounting topics and demonstrate the ability to provide insightful guidance to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advisory services on convertible debt, including the treatment of beneficial conversion features (BCFs), derivatives, and relative fair value allocation.
Advise clients on complex equity transactions, focusing on the valuation of options and warrants.
Lead acquisition accounting engagements, ensuring proper purchase price accounting in accordance with applicable standards.
Assist clients with ASC 842 lease accounting compliance, including implementation and ongoing reporting requirements.
Support clients in understanding and applying ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ensuring accurate revenue reporting and disclosures.
Develop and deliver training materials and workshops on technical accounting topics for internal teams and clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs and provide solutions to complex accounting issues.
Stay current with accounting regulations and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting or technical accounting advisory roles.
In-depth knowledge of ASC 470 (Convertible Debt), ASC 718 (Equity Compensation), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), ASC 842 (Leases), and ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
