Position Overview:Our client is seeking a highly technical Senior Manager who will act as a subject matter expert with extensive expertise in the smaller reporting company arena. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex accounting topics and demonstrate the ability to provide insightful guidance to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advisory services on convertible debt, including the treatment of beneficial conversion features (BCFs), derivatives, and relative fair value allocation.
  • Advise clients on complex equity transactions, focusing on the valuation of options and warrants.
  • Lead acquisition accounting engagements, ensuring proper purchase price accounting in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Assist clients with ASC 842 lease accounting compliance, including implementation and ongoing reporting requirements.
  • Support clients in understanding and applying ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, ensuring accurate revenue reporting and disclosures.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and workshops on technical accounting topics for internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs and provide solutions to complex accounting issues.
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting or technical accounting advisory roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 470 (Convertible Debt), ASC 718 (Equity Compensation), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), ASC 842 (Leases), and ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
