Position Overview:We're a leading commercial flooring contractor based in San Diego, CA. We are currently seeking a results-driven Commercial Account Executive to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in project management and sales who wants to take ownership ofthe client relationships, drive revenue growth, and manage projects from pre-construction through completion.You'll work out of our San Diego headquarters, managing relationships with general contractors and end users across San Diego. This hybrid role combines sales, estimating and project management—offering the chance to grow accounts while overseeing successful project execution.
Location: San Diego, Inland Empire, Orange County, Riverside and Imperial Valley

Key Responsibilities:Commercial Business Development Identify and pursue new client opportunities across general contractors and end users Maintain a strong presence at industry events and associations Pre-Construction; Planning: Conduct job site visits to assess project scope, take measurements, and identify logistical challenges Create take-offs and detailed estimates for labor, materials, and preparation requirements Develop competitive project bids, including recommendations for systems (ex, moisture mitigation) when applicableSales and Project Management Execution: Oversee projects from contract award to completion, managing schedules, budgets, and installation quality Coordinate with our in-house installation team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and execution Conduct regular site visits to proactively resolve field issues and verify progress Track and manage job costing, billing, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle Identify risks and inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions and process improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in commercial construction sales, estimating, or project management, preferably within the flooring industry (5+ years of project management and/or sales experience is preferred) Strong estimating, project planning, and organizational skills Ability to read plans/specs and use digital take-off and estimating tools Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and external clients
