The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting the sales team drive sales growth through a variety of tasks in support of the department’s sales goals from our branch in Hardeeville, SC. This includes administrative and clerical duties as well as customer service and sales assistance with our wholesale products (tile, stone, flooring and hardscape materials).  This is position is all phone and email correspondance. 

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in meeting overall department sales goals by helping to maintain existing customer relationships through excellent customer service when answering customer calls.
  • Answer client questions regarding our products, their accounts and orders.
  • Respond to customer requests and questions; resolve issues with the best interest of both customer and company.
  • Take orders, prepare estimates and process requests with proper follow-up.
  • Aid in the setup of new accounts
  • Prepare necessary samples, marketing materials, etc. for sales team participation at trade shows, conferences and other possible sales outlets.
  • Assist Accounting Department with credit applications, accounts receivable and collections processes
  • Maintain marketing materials, samples, sample boards, etc.
  • Review all shipping and receiving orders for accuracy and quality
  • Work with Logistics to ensure timely and accurate shipping of orders to customers
  • Coordinate routing with customer and Logistics
  • Ship samples to the customer as directed
  • Investigate and report any shipping issues to Director of Operations and/or National Sales Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Knowledge of order processing and procedures
  • Previous sales experience and/or wholesale fulfillment experience helpful
  • Exterior tile and stone experience a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic data entry and/or word processing skills
  • Experience with SAP, QuickBooks and Excel a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, multi-task in a busy environment, work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Self-motivated with good initiative and willingness to help out where needed
  • Must be able to work M-F, 8-5:00AM ( 40 hr work week)
