OverviewWe are looking for a skilled RF/mmWave Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and testing of advanced semiconductor and RF solutions. This role will focus on test program development, hardware design, and validation of mmWave automotive radar ICs, ensuring high test coverage and reliability for both wafer- and final-test environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test programs on Advantest 93K SmartScale/ExaScale RF platforms for mmWave devices.

  • Design and implement test hardware and methodologies for mmWave testing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Test Architects, Product Development, Product Engineering) to integrate DFX into new products.

  • Debug, analyze, and report test findings, with a focus on continuous improvement in DFX features and test coverage.

  • Define and execute test concepts, test strategies, and validation methods aligned with automotive quality requirements.

  • Support production and characterization hardware development for ATE systems with high test coverage.

  • Perform digital and analog test pattern creation, simulation, and tester-dependent vector generation.

  • Analyze test data and communicate results effectively with design teams.

  • Lead introduction and release of mass-production software and hardware for test systems.

  • Isolate and resolve failures (setup, code, silicon, logic/physical issues).

  • Contribute to yield, margin, and coverage improvements through systematic test engineering practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Microwave Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in mmWave ATE test engineering.

  • Hands-on knowledge of mmWave ICs including amplifiers, mixers, beamformers, LNAs, and PAs.

  • Strong understanding of RF measurement parameters (S-parameters, NF, linearity, IM3, conversion gain, etc.).

  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as network analyzers, signal analyzers, and phase noise analyzers.

  • Experience in post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, debug, and root cause analysis.

  • Strong programming skills (Python, Perl, C/C++, or Java) for test automation and debugging.

  • Preferred: Experience with V93000 SOC Tester (Smartest 7/8).

  • Good data analysis, problem-solving, and experimental technique skills.

  • Knowledge of load board design, testing, and debugging.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Chip design (circuit/physical design or DV).

  • Post-silicon debug (logic, physical, yield, memory arrays, speed-path, etc.).

  • Product engineering (ATE coverage, binning, scan patterns).

  • Familiarity with MIPI protocols.
