Our client is a manufacturer of dosing components and filling systems for semi and fully automated production plants and assembly processes. Their commitment to precise, reliable, fast, and sophisticated cutting-edge technology is renowned worldwide.

 

The Regional Sales Manager will be remote based in Detroit, MI plus travel, after initial training in Atlanta, GA and Germany.

 

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and motivated engineer with technical sales experience, preferably with automation technology, and an existing network in the automotive industry.

 

 

Summary:

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in technical sales and business development activities in this dynamic market. 

 

Tasks:

·       Develop new business with automotive customers in the Detroit, MI, area. Specifically, Tier 1,2 and 3 component manufacturers, as well as integration companies and material manufacturers.

·       Search for new sales opportunities and extend the company customer base by client acquisition activities within your designed territory.

·       Maintain and nurture existing and new customers and develop accounts in the defined territory.  

·       Located in home office near Detroit, Michigan, plus travel.

·       Support design and development of complex technical dispensing solutions in various high-tech industries (automotive, electronics, 3D printing, aerospace, etc.).

·       Collaborate with a technical engineering team in both the US and Germany.

·       Internal and external project management.

·       Provide excellent customer service to the clients during all phases of the sales and after sales cycle.  

·       Regular reporting:  

o   through CRM system and weekly conference call with VP of Sales.  

o   Sales activities, forecasts, quotes, major projects may also be required.  

o   Sales trips and customer visits will be logged in expense reports. 

·       Develop accounts and present growth strategies to upper management on further market growth 

·       Increase sales and profitability 

·       Attend relevant trade shows throughout the year.

 

 

Requirements:

·       Degree in Engineering (mechanical engineering, process engineering, mechatronics, etc.) preferred. Bachelor's degree required.

·       At least 2 years of technical sales experience. Dispensing experience preferred. Extensive training at our headquarters in Germany will be provided.

·       Proficiency in all standard MS programs.

·       CRM experience - Salesforce preferred.

·       Demonstrate ability to solve complex technical problems.

·       Willingness/ability to travel up to 50% - 60%.
