Our client is a leading automotive supplier specializing in innovative plastic components and surface solutions for a variety of industries.
They are looking for an HR Manager for their plant near Mansfield, OH.
Summary:
The HR Manager is responsible for managing all Human Resources functions at the site, aligning practices with business goals to support a high-performance culture. This role focuses on employee engagement, implementing initiatives, and contributing to regional HR projects as needed.
Tasks:
Identify opportunities to strengthen organizational capability and align culture with business goals.
Diagnose performance gaps and implement strategies to address them.
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
Lead and support labor relations activities, including collective bargaining and maintaining compliance with agreements.
Ensure HR policies and practices meet legal requirements and support organizational objectives.
Oversee site compensation programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company guidelines.
Drive employee engagement and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Act as a key leader in talent acquisition planning to meet both immediate and future workforce needs.
Champion change management initiatives and develop strategies to address potential challenges and risks.
Investigate workplace issues, including grievances and disciplinary matters, and provide recommendations for resolution.
Utilize metrics to identify trends, drive improvements, and support HR decision-making.
Promote ethical practices and uphold core values across the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s preferred.
7+ years of HR experience, including labor relations in union environments.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws with the ability to apply them effectively.
Proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
Skilled in handling sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
Strong business acumen and understanding of HR’s strategic value.
Organized, detail-focused, and able to balance multiple priorities effectively.
Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
Experienced in conflict resolution and managing complex situations.
Proficient in using HR metrics to drive performance and outcomes.
