The Finance Manager will act as a strategic partner to both the North American plant leadership and global finance teams based out of Mississippi near Tunica. This individual will lead the plant’s finance team and take ownership of key areas such as financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis. As the primary point of contact for all plant-level financial activities, this role ensures smooth financial operations, accuracy in financial statements and compliance. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and enforcement of financial and accounting policies, ensuring all practices align with corporate standards.
  • Lead the preparation and review of financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and variance reports.
  • Ensure accurate classification of expenditures and maintain cost records related to capital, inventory, and operations.
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for profit improvements.
  • Track budget adherence by overseeing labor costs and expenditures, ensuring compliance with the approved financial plans.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, providing insights to both plant and corporate leadership.
  • Ensure timely submission and accurate financial reporting, working closely with the logistics team to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Audit product cost accuracy by reviewing bills of materials, and monitor all aspects of cost reporting, including material and labor costs, overhead, and distribution.
  • Evaluate and report on excess or obsolete inventory, ensuring monthly reviews and actions are taken as needed.
  • Manage intercompany account reconciliations and maintain internal controls to guarantee accurate reporting of financial assets.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and resolve any discrepancies in coordination with corporate financial management.
  • Oversee daily reconciliation of cash accounts across currencies and countries, ensuring adequate allocation for business needs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Advanced certifications (CMA, CPA, or MPA) are highly desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial management or cost accounting within a manufacturing setting, with prior leadership experience in managing finance teams.
  • Proficiency in treasury management and dual-currency accounting.
  • Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
