Senior Accountant
Remote, USA (Quarterly meeting in College Park, MD)
Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000 base, depending on experience and location

Fast growing, PE backed SaaS firm in the cybersecurity space with roughly $170M in revenue. The company is scaling quickly and investing heavily in finance and accounting infrastructure to support continued growth, including international expansion and enhanced systems.

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the corporate accounting team with a primary focus on core GL work and reporting. This is not a heavy revenue recognition or ASC 606 role. It is an opportunity for a strong, hands on senior who enjoys owning the close, improving processes, and working in a modern, tech forward environment.

You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and broader Finance team to support month end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and various projects as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and perform key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year end close

• Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Support preparation of internal financial statements and management reporting

• Maintain and improve the general ledger structure and chart of accounts

• Assist with consolidations and intercompany activity

• Support audits and preparation of audit schedules

• Partner with operations and other departments to ensure accurate coding and timely information flow

• Assist in implementing and refining accounting processes, controls, and policies as the company scales

• Leverage NetSuite and other tools to streamline workflows and improve accuracy

• Support special projects, including systems enhancements and international entity support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• 4 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at the Senior Accountant level

• Strong general ledger and month end close experience

• Solid understanding of US GAAP

• Strong Excel and general tech skills, comfortable working in modern cloud based systems

• Experience working in a fast paced, high growth environment

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

• Clear, concise communication skills and comfort working with remote teams

Preferred Experience

While not all are required, candidates with some combination of the following will stand out:

• SaaS or software industry experience

• Experience in a PE backed or high growth technology company

• International accounting experience, including foreign entities or multi currency

• Hands on experience with NetSuite
