Our client, a leading global textile manufacturer and supplier, is seeking a Sales Representative with experience in the Linen/Uniform service industry (commercial laundries). 
 
This Sales Rep will sell and promote textiles (table linens, bed linens, towels, aprons, etc.) to industrial laundry facilities. You are responsible for discovering opportunities, establishing new relationships, nurturing existing relationships and closing deals.
 
The Territory: Southeast - Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia
*Candidates must live within a 1 hour drive of Atlanta, or be willing to relocate there.
 
Travel: Up to 50%. Reps typically travel 2 weeks per month.
 
Duties include:
  • Maintain and grow the current customer base and sales.
  • Establish good working relationships with key players at the plant and corporate levels, such as GMs, inventory controllers, and purchasing managers.
  • Coordinate clients' needs and requirements for ordering and forecasting purposes.
  • Cold call and develop new clients. Approximately 30% of your sales activity should be prospecting new business.
  • Coordinate with customers and operations for seamless ordering and processing of orders, ensuring correct information such as price and quantity.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints through clear communication between the customer and operations.
  • Visit customers frequently, assess their needs and requirements, and ensure service levels are met.
  • Sell not just on price but on quality and service.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend trade shows and conferences, setting up exhibits.
  • Develop creative ways to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Gain market knowledge such as competitive pricing and new products.
  • Prepare presentations and present them to clients.
  • Assist management with marketing materials and strategies.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of sales experience is required.
  • Experience in the commercial laundry industry (even if not sales-related).
  • College degree is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple business departments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent social and networking skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
