Our industrial/manufacturing client is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager in New Hampshire.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with strong hands-on experience to provide on-site support to a diverse workforce while building strong working relationships that reinforce the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefit questions, concerns, and issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster a positive and inclusive company culture.
  • Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and lead initiatives to boost employee morale and job satisfaction.
  • Create and manage programs to recognize and reward employee contributions and achievements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align company culture with business objectives and values.
  • Facilitate team-building activities and events to enhance employee relationships and collaboration.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal Employment law
  • Manage the hiring process, including advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, creating offer letters, reference and background checks
  • Managing the on-boarding process for new employees
  • Train new hires; conduct annual HR Trainings as needed
  • Create and maintain personnel and benefits files ensuring security and confidentiality
  • Administer employee benefits; Manage all aspects of annual open enrollment for health benefits
  • Administer employee health, retirement plans, which include 401K retirement plan, medical/dental insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, workers compensation, leaves of absence
  • Provides resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefit questions, concerns, and issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Maintain OSHA files
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years experience in HR management
  • HR experience in production, manufacturing, and/or warehouse environments
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management
  • SPHR or PHR certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and disciplines
  • Must possess good judgement and the ability to analyze and problem-solve as well as provide leadership and guidance across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus web-based information research and retrieval
  • Experience working in a collective bargaining environment and participating in union negotiations is preferred
