Seeking commercial laundry industry experienced candidates for a leadership opportunity with a reputable, family-owned provider of linen and uniform rental services throughout Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky.
This Assistant General Manager role is designed to transition into a General Manager position within 12 to 18 months. Qualified candidates must be open to relocation within the Midwest during that timeframe (exact location to be determined). Relocation packages are provided by the employer for any required move.
The Assistant General Manager will support regional operations, lead cross-functional teams, drive growth initiatives, and help execute the company’s long-term business strategy. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Must have:
- Previous leadership experience in the uniform and commercial laundry industry: 3+ years as an Assistant General Manager, or 5+ years in a high-level Sales Manager or Service Manager role
- Ability to relocate to a future assigned Midwest location within 18 months of hire
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the COO and on-site General Managers in executing the regional business and service strategy
- Assist in delivering targeted sales growth through actionable market and customer strategies
- Complete a structured rotational training program across production, service, sales, and operations
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives that increase quality and operational efficiency
- Assist with key business projects and ensure on-time, accurate completion
- Help recruit, coach, and develop future leaders within Production and Service teams
- Partner with Sales, Branch, and Service leadership to identify and pursue business opportunities within established target customer profiles
- Support the rollout of lean processes, assign project leaders, and ensure teams achieve project goals
- Contribute to planning, goal setting, and execution of local business strategies
- Travel regularly throughout the region to oversee operations, collaborate with GMs, and engage with customers
Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience is considered
- Previous GM-track leadership experience in the uniform and commercial laundry industry
- Successful track record developing teams and driving results
- Strong communication, planning, and execution skills
- Willingness to relocate within the Midwest within 18 months
- Ability to travel regularly to company facilities and customer locations
