Position Overview

A leading healthcare provider in the Houston medical district is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join its night shift Matrix team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures that meet the highest clinical standards in a fast-paced hospital setting. The technologist must be comfortable working independently, performing exams on a variety of patients, and ensuring safe, accurate imaging in accordance with compliance and safety protocols.

This is a direct, onsite role with no travel required and an opportunity to work in one of the region’s top imaging departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic x-ray exams while ensuring compliance with all radiation safety protocols.

  • Prepare and position patients, obtain vitals, and explain procedures prior to imaging.

  • Administer IV contrast when necessary.

  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

  • Maintain and perform quality checks on radiology equipment.

  • Support accreditation efforts (e.g., ACR) as required.

  • Respond to emergency calls and cover additional shifts including weekends if needed.

  • Perform auxiliary functions such as patient registration, verifying insurance, or specimen collection when applicable.

  • Adhere to all hospital policies including time and supply management, safety protocols, and infection prevention.

  • Contribute to departmental performance goals, continuous learning, and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required)

  • Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R)

  • Current Texas Medical Board license (MRT or temporary MRT)

  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS)

Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience in hospital or urgent care imaging preferred

  • Ability to lift/maneuver patients with assistance

  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor

  • Strong commitment to safety, patient care, and team collaboration

Compensation & Work Conditions

Estimated Salary Range: $54,579 – $77,043 (commensurate with experience)Shift: Full-Time, Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)Relocation: Not includedSigning Bonus: Not offered
